Wendy Swanson is an award winning agent, top producing agent. A lifelong Southwest Virginia resident and a Virginia Tech Alumnus. Outside of real estate, she brings over 20 years of combined experience in real estate, mortgage banking and small business. She thrives on helping her clients accomplish their goals, whether it be to find their dream home, sell their home or to find a place for their new business. She strives to find her customers exactly what they want. Whether it is helping first time home buyers or commercial transactions, Wendy believes it is her job to help her customer in all aspects of their transaction.

I am incredibly proud to call the New River Valley home. Born and raised on a family-owned dairy farm in Riner, I learned from a very young age the value of hard work, responsibility, and a strong sense of community. My neighbors weren’t just friends — they were grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. That close-knit upbringing shaped who I am and how I serve others today.

Although I spent a few years outside the area, my heart never left. I returned home to raise my family in the community that helped raise me. Real estate has always been a passion of mine, and after a rewarding 26-year career in dentistry, I decided to take the leap and pursue my dream of becoming a Realtor®. The transition was fueled by my love for helping people and my deep appreciation for everything this region has to offer.

I am excited to share with my clients the diverse opportunities found throughout the New River Valley and surrounding areas — from scenic hiking and biking trails to beautiful lakes and rivers, and from the energy of game days at Virginia Tech to the vibrant community of Radford University. Sheila P Miles, a lifelong resident of the New River Valley has worked in the field of real estate for 20+ years. In 2012 she was honored with the Good neighbor Award from the New River Valley Association of REALTORS® in recognition of her hard work and devotion to a Horse rescue program Winterfrost Farms owned by her daughter. Miles has always had a passion for helping horses that no one else wanted to help and instilled this in her daughter Reagan … from this passion came Winterfrost Farm and the program known as Ride-a-Rescue which leads trail rides on rescue horses that have been nurtured back to health.They provide Trail rides (Ride a Rescue), lessons, training, on- farm leasing, and boarding. Sheila’s participation and contributions include giving riding demonstrations, leading trail rides, caring for equipment, feeding, putting up hay, fixing fence, administering medicine as needed, cleaning barns, hauling horses, and anything else that needs to be done. In addition to the countless hours Sheila devotes to the rescue horses she also participates in the annual Long & Foster United Way Campaign, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, the Long & Foster Annual Community Service Days, supply and food drives and is very active in her church. Sheila has a passion for the people, places & animals of Southwest VA.
